Teen Boy's Room
A teen boy's room that showcases my 14 year old nephew's love of reading, building legos, Harry Potter and gaming with friends. Above is the mood board that helped put it all together and get our "client's" final approval. He was a tough client. KT even threatened to fire him :) But truly only because she loved the paint color so much she wanted to somehow keep this room for herself. Jake's requests - a reading corner, striped bedding, more room to hang out on the floor, a display for all his legos, and his favorite color teal. I think we nailed it! KT found the headboard and chair on Facebook marketplace. Great place to find like new items that fit your spaces! Desk, desk chair, bed with cubbies (they made for him) and shelves he already had in his room. The built in is an awesome spot for his book collection and a perfect corner for reading.
As KT says: "Jake’s room is about to become one of my favorite in the house. I absolutely love SW Iron Ore! It’s an amazing dark color .. not gray but not quite black. It’s dark without feeling closed in. I seriously didn’t know a paint color could be so exciting haha! Paint SW Iron Ore Thanks to KM Design & Decor for help with the pop of color (darker yellow and teal) and the room layout (not to mention endless other decor/design questions I ran by her)!!! Every time I ask Jake about something he says “what does auntie think?
